New label from Onemeeting.com to unburden schools: 1M5 School Proof
From 1 March, pupils and students from secondary education and secondary vocational education may partially go back to school. For many schools it is still a puzzle how they can do this in a safe and responsible way, so online education remains the forced solution at the moment. However, it has recently become clear that the need for face-to-face education is great for several reasons. That is why the VO council advises schools to move to theaters, large meeting locations and cinemas in the event of a shortage of capacity. To help schools in this quest, Onemeeting.com is launching a new label: 1M5 School Proof.
Safe with each other in the classroom
In schools there is not enough space to put all students in one classroom, so teachers are constantly walking back and forth. By (partly) moving education to external locations, measures such as keeping a distance of 1,5 meters can be safeguarded without requiring the deployment of extra teachers and splitting up classes.
Schools are asking for help
In May 2020, Onemeeting.com launched the 1M5 Meeting Distance label: To quickly provide bookers and customers of meeting and conference centers with clarity about how a location has implemented the RIVM guidelines. There are now more than 550 locations in possession of this label. Ten months later, Onemeeting.com launches the 1M5 School Proof label: To help schools in their search for suitable external locations to resume education.
Quality requirements 1M5 School Proof label:
• A distance of 1,5 meters can be maintained everywhere
• Windows can be opened and/or there is demonstrably good air circulation
• Walking routes are marked (eg by means of arrows on the floor and posters on the doors)
• Time slots apply for breaks & lunches (so that groups avoid each other as much as possible)
• There is at least one disinfection point with disinfectant and tissues in every room (in use).
