Sustainability plays an important role at Sociëteit De Witte. As a historic venue, monumental hospitality is combined with contemporary, responsible business operations. De Witte holds the international Green Key Gold certificate, the highest level within the certification scheme for sustainable businesses in the hospitality and events industry. Within the organization, sustainability and corporate social responsibility are addressed in various ways. Sustainable LED lighting, an automated energy system, district heating, and water-saving facilities are utilized. Additionally, the in-house kitchen works with organic and eco-friendly products whenever possible, and fish is selected according to the guidelines of the Viswijzer. Sustainability is also central to daily operations, from eco-friendly cleaning products to conscious purchasing and waste reduction.

Accessibility and parking

Sociëteit De Witte is centrally located on the Plein in the heart of The Hague and is easily accessible by both car and public transport. While the venue does not have its own parking garage, the Pleingarage is situated directly in front of the building, offering convenient parking within walking distance of the entrance. The parking rate is approximately €4 per hour, with a maximum daily rate of around €30-35. The location is also easily accessible by public transport. The Hague Central Station is approximately a 10-minute walk away, and various tram and bus stops are located around the Plein. Additionally, the venue is situated a short distance from the A12 and other major arterial roads towards Amsterdam, Rotterdam, and Utrecht, ensuring good accessibility for both regional and national guests.
