Museum Speelklok boasts four halls. The glass-enclosed Transept Hall and two foyers offer a modern, transparent atmosphere in the ridge of a medieval church with stunning views. Suitable for conferences, presentations, meetings, drinks receptions, and gatherings (10-200 people, theater for up to 100). The monumental Central Nave with its impressive vaults exudes a fairytale atmosphere and is ideal for concerts, conferences, dinners, and dance parties, complete with a professional stage (10-500 people). The enchanting Dance Hall, with its lighting and large dance organs, evokes a 20s atmosphere and is perfect for drinks receptions or dinners (10-200 people). The museum café, surrounded by collection pieces, offers a unique setting for drinks receptions and gatherings (10-200 people).

Food and drinks

No drinks or dinner is a success without good food and drinks! Museum Speelklok offers various catering options.

For lunch and drinks, you can visit the museum café. We also collaborate with Vineyard and FoodFavors, two renowned caterers, for dinners and parties.

Museum cafe

• Coffee and tea: For your meeting or conference, we have everything you need for coffee and tea catering. Think high tea and a variety of cakes and pastries.
• Lunch: A wide range of richly filled sandwiches and warm bites.
• A drink: In addition to fruit juices, soft drinks, and alcoholic beverages, the museum offers a wide selection of snacks, from nuts and olives to appetizers and cold appetizers. Vegetarian and vegan options are also available.

Events and parties

Dance parties and events are possible at Museum Speelklok, such as (staff) parties, dinners, award shows, drinks, meetings, seminars and conferences.

Activities

Unique to Museum Speelklok is its magnificent display of self-playing musical instruments. Our enthusiastic presenters can playfully present these instruments to your guests during your event in the form of a musical interlude! This interlude can be as short or as long as you like, and multiple rounds are possible. Your guests can enjoy a demonstration of some of the masterpieces from the world of self-playing musical instruments, drinks in hand.

Museum Speelklok is an official wedding venue for the municipality of Utrecht. The ceremony itself, a reception, a wedding dinner, or a swinging dance party can all be held in one of the museum rooms. For example, you can dine with your guests at a beautifully set table among the collection pieces. It's sure to be an unforgettable day!

The museum café is largely vegetarian and there are controls in place to ensure minimal waste.

Accessibility and parking

By public transport, Museum Speelklok is a ten-minute walk from Utrecht Central Station. From the station, you can also take city bus 2 towards Museumkwartier and get off at the Domplein stop. From there, it's a four-minute walk to the museum. By car, the museum is a ten-minute walk from the Springweg and Hoog Catharijne parking garages. To avoid the crowds in the city center, you can use P+R Utrecht. With a day ticket, you can park at one of the P+R locations and travel to the city center by public transport. Bicycles can be parked near the museum in the free covered bicycle parking facility on Zadelstraat. You can also park your bike behind the museum at Buurkerkhof.
